Nobuhiro Kumagaya （JAPANESE DRUMUS）
Information : Nobuhiro has been familiar with traditional Japanese music, ‘Kagura’, since his childhood.
He started playing the taiko at the age of seventeen. He has taken part in many music and band performances worldwide. Now he is a member of ‘ZI-PANG’, a taiko entertainment group. He also plays solo, writes music scores, and teaches the techniques of playing the taiko.

Hiroyuki Hayashida （JAPANESE DRUMUS）
Information : Hiroyuki was a member of ‘Kodou’, a Japanese taiko performance group, and now belongs to ‘Takio Ito and TAIKO BAND’. He is especially great at playing the taiko, holding his taiko on his shoulder (katsugi-taiko), demonstrating his own original style. In Japanese music journals on traditional musical instruments, it is said that he will become a leader in the oke-taiko world in the future, because of his dynamic skills and tireless efforts. Since 2000, he has been the sole director and producer of ZI-PANG.

ZI-PANG
Information : The first Japanese taiko entertainment group: fusion of jazz, rock music, etc.
The basic sound consists of the Japanese taiko drum, mixed with the sound of keyboards, guitar, base guitar, horn and other musical instruments to make background music for dancing. Their exquisite performances have been attracting many fans worldwide. In 2005 and 2006, they had a concert tour in Central America and South America. They evoked the passions of many people there as representative performers of Japanese fusion art.

Binbun Oda （Synthesizer, Music Editor）
Information : Toshifumi plays keyboards. Since 1983, he has written and edited music scores,( mixing with synthesizers under the direction of Isao Tomita ). He taught himself a variety of music genres, including rock, jazz, fusion, funk, and pop music. In 1987, he became interested in salsa music, and he learned to play percussion instruments at Ignacio Cervantes School in Cuba. During his studies there, he visited many places in Cuba to do research in music and he met many great musicians. After coming back to Japan, Toshifumi played in his salsa bands, ‘Tokioson’ and ‘A-Salsa’, until 1996. Recently, he has started playing in his bands again. He is now also a part-time member of Jasrac, a third band.

Mamoru Katouno （*Shakuhachi）
Information : Mamoru is trying to master the spirit of ‘nothingness and nihilism’, the original style of shakuhachi music, while playing modern or impromptu music, and folk songs. Dispatched abroad by the Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Monetary Fund, he has played all over the world. He is the exclusive shakuhachi player for Kaori Kouzai.

Koudai Fukui （*Tsugaru Shamisen）
Information : Koudai started his career at KOMA Theatre in Shinjuku, mainly with Ikuzo Yoshi during his concert tour in Japan. For his dynamic performances of bachi, ( a single drum stick ), he gets favorable reviews. He has a great number of pupils and holds many live concerts. Also, he runs a shamisen restaurant, ‘Waen-tei Kikko’ , in Asakusa.

Hirotaka Oki （Acoustic Guitar）
Information : As a university student at Yokohama Municipal University, Hirotaka embarked on his career as an acoustic guitarist. He does background music for TV personalities on stage, at studio sessions, etc. He also writes music scores. Hirotaka is a member of Moto Fuyuki’s band and Mie Nakao’s band.

Keiichirou Maki （Recording Engineer）
Information : Keiichirou made his debut as a member of ‘Bravo’ in the TV program Ikasu-band-tengoku, in 1990.( NEC Avenue ) As a band member, he performed in many music halls and live houses. After the breakup of Bravo, he got into commercial film songs, TV captions, and satellite karaoke systems. In 1993, he became a member of Neo Musk Company as a manager of band groups, director and producer of theatrical plays. In 1999, he left Neo Musk and founded Music Gate. Now he is a concert producer and director of theatrical plays.

Satoshi Imai （Cooperative Art Producer）
Information :
Satoshi has actively taken part in many theatrical plays, regardless of genre, such as straight plays, musicals, and music concerts. His representative works include plays by G-Rockets, Isseki-Nichou Company, and ‘Houyou’ (For You) Company.
